Robinson Ventures Selected by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction to Provide ARRA Grant Writing Services:

December 31, 2009 -Selected by the Department of Public Instruction which oversees all public schools in North Carolina, Robinson Ventures, along with partner Marie Battaglia, can now provide ARRA Grant writing services to any public school system within the state. "It is an honor that we were selected by DPI to be included in their pool of ARRA grantwriters", stated Robinson Ventures President Cian Robinson. "This certification and appointment shows the quality of the grant writing services that will be provided by Robinson Ventures. We look forward to supporting the Public School Systems of North Carolina in their efforts to receive ARRA monies". Robinson Ventures Selected to Speak at the 2009 Virginia Governor's Housing Conference:

November 17-19, 2009 -  Robinson Ventures President, Cian Robinson, was selected by a commonwealth wide review panel to present the topic "Financial Management for Nonprofits". So often passion and dedication to a nonprofit's mission is overpowering
and leaves little time or energy for other aspects of the business. However, there are numerous challenges for nonprofits, and paramount among these is effective financial management. It is critical to successful operation and increasingly scrutinized by funders in these tough economic times where accountability is key. The workshop covered the fundamentals of nonprofit financial management to include budgeting, managing multiple funds, tracking costs and reporting. Participants were provided tools and methodologies to increase organizational capacity through strategic financial management. Robinson Ventures Selected to Speak at the 43^rd Annual Council for Resource Development Conference:

November 12, 2009 - Robinson Ventures President, Cian Robinson, was selected by a national review panel to present the topic "Raise Friends, Funds, and Encourage Entrepreneurship". The presentation, based on the Patrick Henry Community College Small Business Investment Forum described how community colleges can engage in "pay-to-play" public-private partnerships that both enable the advancement department to raise monies while at the same time creating community partnerships that help mitigate the barriers for entrepreneurs.
