Candace A. Korzenko joins Robinson Ventures:

July 28, 2008 - Candace (Candy) A. Korzenko has joined Robinson Ventures as the Lead Consultant, Marketing, Advertising and Communications. Candy will be handling clients in need of marketing, advertising and communications/public relations work. In addition, she will work closely with nonprofit clients developing grant making opportunities. Finally, Candy will be leading the web content development and management practice, helping clients with their website presences.

 

 

Cian Robinson, President of Robinson Ventures, named to LEAD Virginia:

June 4, 2008 -LEAD VIRGINIA, the statewide leadership program now entering its fourth year of educating Virginia's leaders about the issues most relevant to the Commonwealth, has announced its 2008 class members.

 

The 44 class participants are senior-level executives in business, education, non-profit and government agencies throughout the Commonwealth. They are experienced, recognized leaders within their professions who are seeking to bolster a shared vision of progressive change through active community involvement across Virginia. Included in that list was Cian Robinson, President, Robinson Ventures.

 

LEAD VIRGINIA educates participants about regional differences and statewide needs through the shared experience of seven two-day sessions held throughout the Commonwealth. Endorsed by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce, state universities and regional leadership organizations, the program offers leaders a forum for gaining deeper insights into complex statewide issues, exchanging resources, creating momentum and working within and outside the political arena to usher in positive change for the Commonwealth. Specific curriculum themes of local/regional economies, as well as the larger issues of education and health, are explored through in-depth dialogue, on-site field studies and experiential activities designed to highlight the diverse interests, resources and challenges of each region.

Robinson Ventures Adds Consultants:

June 1, 2007 - Robinson Ventures is proud to announce the addition of two uniquely qualified and excellent consultants to the staff. Tanya M. Martin will be acting as General Manager of the newly opened Danville Office. In addition, Tanya will lead the the GSA Schedule construction practice for Robinson Ventures. Bill Figaro has also joined the staff. Bill will act as Lead Consultant for the business development and strategic planning practice.

Robinson Ventures Receives Professional Fund-Raising Counsel Designation in Virginia:

January 22 2007 - Robinson Ventures, LLC has been issued its Professional Fund-Raising Counsel license in Virginia. This enable Robinson Ventures to act as a counsel to not-for-profit agencies regarding their development, fundraising, and grant writing initiatives. It also allows Robinson Ventures to provide management consulting services to not-for-profits. Robinson Ventures Opens Virginia office:

December 1, 2006 - Robinson Ventures has extended its reach into Virginia, opening a new office located in the Martinsville, Virginia (Piedmont) region. Martinsville was chosen for its central location, with access to the economies of Washington, DC, Richmond, VA, Roanoke, Va, Greensboro, NC as well as research Triangle. The move was designed to not only expand the reach of Robinson Ventures but also help establish offices for their clients as well. Robinson Ventures President named 2006 Small Business Champion of the Year by the Amherst Chamber of Commerce:

Friday, May 5, 2006 - In a ceremony attended by Congressman Thomas Reynolds and U.S. Assistant Secretary of the Treasury Kevin I. Fromer, Robinson Ventures President Cian Robinson was honored as the Small Business Champion of the year. The award is given to those individuals who go above and beyond the call of duty in supporting the establishment and growth of small businesses. In addition to Mr. Robinson, Maureen Millane Rusk is being honored as the Small Business Advocate of the Year, Robitaille Relocation Services with the At Your Service Award, First Amherst Development Group with the Zenith Award and CompSys Technologies with the Innovation Award.

 

The Amherst Chamber of Commerce Small Business Council, which sponsored this event is one of the most active membership groups within the Chamber. Council Chairman Rich Calhstadt, Vice President at HSBC Bank, states, " Members of the Council recognize the value of small business to the regions economy and are committed to providing the tools to these firms to assist in their profitability and success. Further, this event provides us with a forum to salute local entrepreneurs and spread the message that small business is alive and well in Amherst and Western New York."
